History at MIT seeks to give MIT students a full educational experience that will prepare them to be active members of their local communities and an increasingly global society. The goal for this project was to elevate the visual identity and website to more accurately reflect the scholarly and prestigious work happening at MIT History. We worked closely with a core team of faculty in development of the site tone and visual direction. We developed a robust system of layout and color variables for the homepage news feed to reflect the diverse work coming from the department and its faculty.
